Introducing Micro Deformation Technology from Wolverine
  • What is MDT?

  • MDT is a patented process which mechanically and plastically deforms the work piece to form finite and repeatable surface channels.

  • MDT produces high tolerance micro channels with varying depths, orientation, spacing and angularity.

  • MDT can be utilized to process a wide variety of materials and shapes with no loss of base material.

  • MDT is capable of producing fine meshes when channeling sheet from opposite sides.

MDT Background

  • Initial focus was our “traditional” tube heat transfer business.

  • Started a search for non-traditional applications in Q3 2003.

  • Since 2006, Wolverine has been working with system builders and end-users to provide an innovated solution to the thermal management for electronics cooling.

  • Wolverine has technical core competency in metal forming techniques and heat transfer.
