David W. Jordan—Vice President, Business Strategy and Sourcing

Dave JordanDave Jordan joined the Wolverine executive team in March of 2006 to chair the strategic planning committee in the creation of a new business model and global strategy for Wolverine. As Vice President, Business Strategy and Sourcing, Dave has responsibility for Wolverine’s strategic planning, development of strategic alliances, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, global sourcing, and certain of Wolverine’s operations. From 1997 to 2006, he was General Manager of Wolverine Joining Technologies in Warwick, Rhode Island. Dave has over 30 years of business management and executive leadership experience in the metals, polymers, specialty chemicals, and electronics industries.

Prior to Wolverine, Dave held executive leadership positions with Texas Instruments, W.R. Grace, National Starch & Chemical, and Engelhard Corporation. He has negotiated domestic and international joint ventures and technology partnerships and led five business acquisitions / divestments during his career. Additionally, Dave has over 20 years experience in business restructuring, market development, and international strategy. Dave has hands-on experience in all key business management roles, holding General Manager, Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Quality leadership positions during his career.

Dave earned a Masters of Business Administration in Marketing and Finance from Babson College, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maine.


James M. Berry—Vice President, Operations

James BerryJim Berry joined Wolverine in April of 2007 as Vice President, Operations. He brings 35 years of proven executive leadership in progressive technology and manufacturing and driving results in all aspects of lean manufacturing, strategic purchasing, continuous improvement, process definition, and cost reduction.

Prior to Joining Wolverine, Jim held several executive management positions where he directed multiple plants and gained unique experience managing new plants, major expansions, and plant consolidations. From 2004 to 2006, Jim was Vice President of Operations for Essex Electrical Products (acquired by Southwire in 2006), where he managed a facility that manufactured building wire. For most of the 20 years prior to Wolverine, Jim held several executive management positions at Alcatel, a fast-paced, high technology Fortune Global 500 Company. Throughout his 20 year tenure with Alcatel, Jim was Director of Fiber Operations, Global Vice President, Fiber Manufacturing and Engineering, Vice President, Technology, and Vice President, Operations for North America.

Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky. He is also a Registered Professional Engineer.

 

David A. Styers—Vice President, Technical Tube Products and Processes 

David StyersDavid Styers assumed the role of Vice President, Technical Tube Products and Processes in March of 2009.  In this capacity, he has responsibility for all technical tube business in North America and the Tooling Center in Shanghai, China.  Prior to this role, David led all marketing, sales, and forecast responsibility for the Company’s technical tube business in his role as Director of Marketing.

David has been with Wolverine for over 30 years, and has been promoted within the company during his tenure.  He has held key management positions in Quality, including Corporate Quality Manager and Quality Manager at the Decatur, Alabama facility.  He also held various engineering roles, particularly Engineering Manager and Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor.  David began his career at Wolverine as a Manufacturing Engineer in Decatur.

David earned a Masters of Administrative Science degree, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.  He is an active member of several industry organizations including ASME, ASHRAE, and ASTM.  He also chairs the subcommittee on Workshops and Symposia for the Committee B-5 on Copper and Copper Alloys.

 

Kevin F. McCarthy—Vice President, Human Resources

Kevin McCarthyKevin McCarthy joined Wolverine in July of 2008 as Vice President, Human Resources.  He brings more than 18 years of progressively responsible experience in driving results in all facets of human resources including strategic planning, organizational development, performance management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, recruitment and internal communications. 

Kevin’s career prior to Wolverine includes leading the human resources function at corporate, divisional and plant levels in large manufacturing companies.   For most of the twelve years prior to Wolverine, he worked with two divisions of United Technologies Corporation, a Fortune 50 technology company that provides products and support services to the global building systems and aerospace industries.   Working with both UTC Fire & Security (Kidde) and Carrier Corporation, he led successful efforts in merger & acquisitions, labor negotiations, plant start-ups and organizational restructuring.  Kevin’s additional experience includes leading human resources at O’Sullivan Industries, a $300 million furniture manufacturer and plant human resources roles with Keebler Company, a leading food manufacturer.

Kevin earned a Masters of Education degree in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication, both from James Madison University.  He also holds the certification of Senior Professional in Human Resources.
